PR Week’s 2020 Health Influencer 50 List

Dr. Peter B. Bach, head of MSKCC's Drug Pricing Laboratory, has been selected to MM&M and PR Week's 2020 Health Influencer 50 list.

Their list of "healthcare industry heavyweights” includes “business leaders and communicators who have shined during the pandemic” with Dr. Anthony Fauci as number one. They describe Dr. Bach, “an oft-quoted source and contributor to various mainstream media,” as “quite influential amid ongoing efforts to rein in healthcare costs and improve quality. He’s not only a frequent critic of drug pricing but also a proponent of the concept of “value” in medicine. That’s a term of which pharmaceutical marketers aren’t too fond of, but their hospitals/integrated delivery networks and payer customers certainly are.”
